smella-blogging & feature friday

YAY! Its friday! And that means feature friday! Where I would love to feature another mommy blogger. So I thought i would spotlight my favorite mother of all....my mom! She has a pretty blog that she occasionally posts on. My favorite is when she posts about her cards, she makes the most gorgeous cards! check it out, www.pebblespages.blogspot.com She currently has had to give up her craft room to my grandma, and then to my brother to live in. But I know it will be up and running shortly. So bookmark it, and keep watching for her fabulous cards!

I wish we had smella-blogs! Oh the aroma of my house right now. Since I was featuring my mom today I thought I would make one of my favorite things she makes. Her banana bread! Georgie also had the pleasure of getting his first slice of banana bread today too! That heavenly stuff made him "Mmmmm" and "Mmmmm" over and over! Not to mention his famous happy dance when he really loves food! He sure loved it! If you happen to have a few black bananas just begging for a second chance. Give my moms recipe a try! It rocks!!!

3 ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
3 tbs milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Mash bananas. Combine sugar, oil, eggs and milk: mix thoroughly. Add dry ingredients, except nuts. blend thoroughly. Add nuts: pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Note: Makes 1 large loaf or 4(5x2 1/2 inch)small loaves.

And just curious, what do you think, banana bread, better with or without nuts!?? Leave your answer in a comment! :)
