gingerbread houses

Candy, gingerbread and a whole lot of frosting made a fun evening and 3 little houses. It was a triple date with 2 of my brothers. The first house is Jake and I's traditional creation.

The second is by my little brother and his girlfriend. As my mom said the other day, "the Hell house". Or my grandmother, "Does he want to be a fireman?"

My older brother and his date made the cute colorful house. The snowman with the crystal sugar is so awesome.

If anyone is still feeling festive try it out and let me know if you have goodluck with it too!

Gingerbread Icing
6 egg whites
2 lbs powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cream of tartar
Combine all ingredients in electric mixer and beat for 7-10 minutes, it will be thick, shiny and beautiful. Happy house building!

Did I really say that? Or did I say the house could have come from HE double Hocky Sticks? Hmmmn Maybe you better not offend anyone and change that.... I mean my mother will read this... I mean really...

Ha! I'm just keeping it real! Maybe next time you will think twice. I'm sure Grandma will be ok!
