lemon frosting

Parties are the best excuse to make treats that are too unhealthy to think about!
The party got rained out. So we spent the evening driving in the rain to deliver them to unsuspecting people. It turned out to be a lot more fun then we thought.
We will make door bell ditching cupcakes a family night again in the future!

Lemon Frosting

1 cup softened butter
1 cup vegetable shortening
1 bag of Powdered Sugar 2lbs(more if you are good and sift it)
1 teaspoon Clear Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon Lemon Extract
Zest of a Lemon
Juice of a Lemon (about 2 Tablespoons)
2 Tablespoons Water
1/2 teaspoon butter flavor
Yellow Gel Food Coloring

Cream the butter and Shortening in the mixer with the wisk attachment. Then slowly add Powdered Sugar till gone. Then add the zest, coloring, and liquids (except water). Add water to desired consistency. You may need more or less than I did. Whip up till light and fluffy!

This was just me throwing things together, so if you don't have clear vanilla, or maybe butter flavor...don't stress (lemon items a must..it is lemon frosting ya know)!
But feel free to experiment, it will still taste great I promise!
